Provider Directories (AB 236)

COA Voting, In Favor Of

COA supports AB 236 (Holden), which would require a plan or insurer to annually audit and delete inaccurate listings from its provider directories, including removing a provider if they have not financially compensated the provider in the prior year. The bill also increases penalties on health plans that do not have updated directories. This bill is in Assembly Appropriations Committee.
